Culvert Policy
Driveway culverts are the Homeowner’s responsibility. The City will replace culverts for 1&2 family homes at the homeowner’s request. Homeowners are responsible for all costs associated with replacement. Prices may be found on the Public Works Fee Sheet. A permit is not required when the City performs the work.
Homeowners can choose to replace culverts on their own. If this option is preferred, then a Culvert Permit Application must be submitted with a fee of $150.00.
All new homes and commercial properties without curb and gutter, culvert installation is the owner’s responsibility and a Culvert Permit Application is required.
THE CITY WILL NOT INSTALL CULVERTS FOR NEW HOMES, COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES, OR ADDITIONAL DRIVEWAYS. THE CITY ONLY OFFERS REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING CULVERTS AT HOMEOWNER’S EXPENSE.
