[ARCHIVED] City of Muskego Declaration of a State of Emergency

Annotation 2020-03-18 152942

How Does an Emergency Declaration Affect Me?

March 18, 2020

On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the City of Muskego issued an Emergency Proclamation in response to the Worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic.  Many citizens have asked why the City has made this proclamation, and what it means.

This Proclamation was not made in response to any specific changing event(s) that may affect the city or our citizens.  Rather, this Emergency Proclamation is keeping in line with what is happening at the Federal, State and County levels, as well as other local municipalities.  The issuance of this Proclamation will make the City of Muskego eligible for additional state and federal aid, if and/or when it becomes available.

This Proclamation also allows the city the flexibility to limit, modify or suspend certain city services, and to close city facilities as needed.  Rest assured that Police, Fire and EMS services will not be affected.

We urge all Muskego residents to not panic, and continue to maintain social distances or self-isolation.  We will continue to monitor this ever-evolving situation and keep you informed to the best of our abilities.
