Hunting season (depending on what you’re going after) has already begun or is about to get underway. Having that said, here are some things specifically pertaining to Muskego hunting rules and regulations to keep in mind. Muskego is a shotgun discharge only city. The discharge of other firearms is not permitted. Waterfowl season has been underway for a few weeks now, so we can continue to expect to hear gun shots in the early morning hours and as long as the hunter(s) follow these Muskego Ordinances they can legally hunt within our city limits. Hunters must be:
1. 300ft from any dwelling (keep in mind, permission from the property owner does not change this rule).
2. 300ft from any roadway.
3. 300ft from any Park, Church, Municipal or School property.
The City of Muskego is more restrictive on these rules and city ordinances supersede rules and regulations put in place by the DNR, however please refer to their website: https://dnr.wi.gov/ for additional season dates and times.
