Help us, help you! The Muskego Police Department is looking to create a comprehensive list/map of all businesses and residences within the city that are willing to provide us with access to their security/surveillance systems.
Here's how it will work: you or your neighbor has video/audio surveillance for your house or business. There was an incident that required police presence and investigations nearby. Officers are now looking for a suspect or suspect vehicle that may have been captured by your surveillance. By filling out the appropriate form, officers are able to see that you are in close proximity to the incident and may have valuable evidence pertaining to the incident from your surveillance. Officers make contact with you and ask for your assistance in obtaining said surveillance/possible evidence.
That's it! We are not infiltrating your security system, watching you do Tae Bo in your living room (if that's even a thing anymore), or violating any of your constitutional rights! We will not have access to the surveillance unless you give it to us! There are no obligations, the list simply lets investigating officers know you have it!
