[ARCHIVED] "Booze and Belts"

Our officers will be concentrating their efforts to the enforcement of individuals who choose to operate while intoxicated (OWI) and others who refuse to fasten their safety belts.
This program is designed to save lives, by getting the offenders off the road and making sure all passengers in the car be buckled up. Last year alone, crashes involving alcohol killed 223 people and injured over 300 others. It is important to remember, especially during the Holiday Season, that there is nothing more precious the life. So, in the spirit of the season, we in Law Enforcement encourage everyone to abstain from drinking and driving. Use a designated driver or call a cab. If you see someone on the road that appears to intoxicated, we urge you to contact 911. Let's make this season of joy a very happy and safe one. If you have any question, or would like more information on the program, please contact us at (262) 679 4130.
