What is Safety City?

Learning about safety is fun at Safety City! This preschool (ages 4-7) program creates a child-size city where children use big wheels to learn about road and pedestrian safety. Fire protection, poison prevention, animal safety, and stranger awareness are some of the topics taught by a qualified teacher, law enforcement officers, guest instructors, and teen volunteers.

There will be field trips to the Muskego Police Department and Tess Corners Fire Department. Safety City is sponsored by the Muskego Woman’s Club in cooperation with the Muskego Police Department, Parks and Recreation Department, and the Muskego/Norway School District. All children will receive a T-shirt and certificate of completion on graduation day.

As the program relies heavily on volunteer efforts, teen volunteers are a crucial part of the program's success. Teens interested are encouraged to fill out a volunteer application
